Swimming in the Persian Gulf

No I have never been swimming in the Persian Gulf, however my fiancé called this morning to tell me that while on his four day pass to Qatar he went snorkeling in the Persian Gulf.  This was the first time he ever went swimming in an ocean and did he go swimming in the Atlantic Ocean, or maybe the Pacific Ocean? No, Jason went swimming in the Persian Gulf the lucky dog! I guess there are a few perks in fighting a war. I worry about him a lot but he seems to be adjusting just fine, or so he tells me.

Spring Break was pretty exciting for me. Instead of spending money like most college students, I went to work and made money all week.  I also got my house. My parents bought a house here in Muncie that my fiancé, Jason, and I will be renting from him. The only downside of the whole situation is that the house needs some work, such as new carpet and TONS of paint, and I am the one who gets to do most of the work.  Now between school and working at the store and working at the house my free time has become very sparse.

We have started something new in English class.  We were asked to find a topic that might interest us to write about for the rest of the semester.  I am not entirely sure why but I decided to write about polygamy.  The subject is actually slightly fascinating.  I had never really considered polygamy a problem until I saw a documentary on A&E covering the subject a few nights before we were given the assignment. Now I have found an interest in writing about polygamy and I can't wait to do more investigation into the subject.

St. Patrick’s day was not very exciting for me. I worked all night, came home and watched Saw Two with my friend Stephanie. Boy was that a big mistake. She barely watched any of the movie, her face was hidden behind her hands and yet she still managed to get freaked out to the point that she made me check in her closet and under her bed before she would dare to go to sleep last night! Silly girl! She didn't seem to understand the concept that Saw Two was and is only a movie! That pretty much sums up my weekend and now I am off to bed, work tomorrow at the store, the house, and homework!
