| The Honest Truth |
So were supposed to write about our English class and what were doing each week and how we feel about it all and what not. Well I will be completely honest about what I think about this class, I don't yet. I can't really put into words why I don't know, I am not a very eloquent writer, but I know that I have not had much to get an impression on it yet. I am glad that I tested out of English 103 and didn't have to deal with it last semester. I do not like writing papers. If you want me to stand up in front of two hundred people to give a speech, no problem, but write a paper? I would much rather not. I can stand in front of you and weave an interesting tale that would engage the mind and interest the imagination, however if asked to put those words down on paper they tend to escape my mind. I fight a constant battle against the rules of grammar and I don't even want to delve into my many troubles with sentence structure. I am the first to admit that I have trouble drawing in an audience with my words on paper because I can't truely judge what my audience wants. In person I can tell when someone is losing interest and I can quickly change gears to draw them back in, I am still working on this skill when it comes to my writing. This week has been okay. Work went really well this week. Some of my friends from high school will be coming up this weekend and it will be really nice to see them. I got to talk to Jason twice this week, cause he had a day off and that has really made for a good week. My fish that I bought at Wal-Mart, Kai, is still alive and thats always exciting. School has gone okay if not a little slow. I really liked going to the CAP in our English class on wednesday, more on that in the next weblog though. Tonight is going to be fun. I am going to Retreat to eat with a bunch of old and new friends tonight for dinner. I am considering joining the Rugby club because it sounds like fun and it would give me something else to do, I am prone to steer clear of sitting around and doing nothing. I have no idea how to play Rugby, not like that has ever stopped me from doing something before though! Anyways, you should definitely take a look at my next weblog, its on the visit to the CAP building. |
